Historic Ontario Victorian Home

Historic Ontario Victorian Home

This Historic Ontario Victorian Home is of the most familiar landmarks in its town, originally built of logs and rebuilt after a fire the Victorian House was built in 1885 by a Postmaster and Store Owner. Its exuberant high Victorian style has long made it a local landmark.

Looking closely at the roof, the shutters, the Victorian Gothic architectural style, the remarkable wood and metal trim-work, however, looking close-up, many of the prized historical features are slipping into disrepair and ruin

This home and surrounding property are now a part of a potential development proposal which will see a mixed use development on the 1.8-acre property.

The Victorian Home is not abandoned, rather currently vacant and the plan is to build two, three-storey buildings with 45 apartments, and 2,565 square feet of commercial space while maintaining and improving Victorian itself, and hopefully use it for office space.
