Exploring a Strange Abandoned Ranch House in the Middle of Nowhere
A unique ranch style abandoned house in the middle of nowhere that I stumbled upon while exploring abandoned places in Eastern Ontario. Lots of stuff left behind, totally overgrown and oddly it has power still!!
This was a really interesting house, I stumbled upon it by total chance last summer while driving between the 1000 Islands and the Lennox and Addington Dark Sky Viewing Area.

I normally have a full list of locations to explore and don’t like making random stops. However, on this trip I was focussing mostly on astrophotography and not so much abandoned so I had lots of spare time during the day.

Driving by, I spotted the overgrown yard and bushes and quickly spotted the house just in time. I turned around and pulled in and it was clear that the home was abandoned.

I don’t know the exact proper style of this home, but to me it looks like an old ranch with unique wood features inside and out.

There was quite a bit left over inside from furniture to books and more.

Someone local to this house commented last night that someone just bought it! She said that they have bulldozed the front yard and ripped down the old barns next door!
