Abandoned For Over 60 Years – Katepwa Saskatchewan

abandoned house katepwa saskatchewan
Located in Saskatchewan, Canada this abandoned house was extremely dangerous and on the verge of collapsing at any time!

Inside there were several old televisions and beds, while I was exploring the house the Royal Canadian Mounted Police pulled in to speak with me as there were complaints of a suspicious vehicle driving around the area.

It turned out that I was NOT the suspicious vehicle.

The RCMP officers were extremely kind and were totally fine with me continuing my exploration!

I spotted this house randomly while driving in between locations on my 2nd day in Saskatchewan back in May 2023.

According to a comment by someone who lives nearby, the home has been abandoned since the 1960s.

The property is owned by relatives of the original occupants, who decided to move out over 60 years ago due to a death in the family.

  1. Reminds me so much of my childhood in Alberta exploring abandoned farms. Thank you for your work. Very emotional for me. This is 1950s. I’d ride my horse in neighborhood and walk through houses with plates and cups on the table. Everything there. People gone.
