Creepy Abandoned House in Southern Ontario Left to Decay

There’s something about this place that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Hidden deep in Southern Ontario’s backroads, this eerie abandoned house looks like it’s being swallowed whole by trees. From a distance, the bright red brick still shows signs of strength, but get closer and it becomes clear—this house is crumbling from the inside out.

Nature’s taken over outside. Broken windows and tangled tree limbs block the front porch. The roof is starting to cave. The whole place is dark, moody, and perfectly unsettling.

Inside, it’s even worse. Or better, depending on your love of decay. Peeling paint, moldy walls, broken floorboards—and some of the strangest leftovers I’ve seen in a while. There’s a decaying baby crib still standing, vintage 1970s furniture scattered around, and signs of life frozen mid-exit. A tattered chair in one room, a floral couch buried under junk in another. You get the sense that whoever lived here just… stopped.

One of the more fascinating parts of this explore was the bathroom. It still had a bar of soap and a pair of jeans slung over a cart. The sink hangs on by two rusty legs, and the floor tiles are peeling up with every step.

This house is the kind of place that keeps you on your toes. Every creak, every gust of wind from a broken window—it’s got the kind of atmosphere you can’t fake. A raw, gritty glimpse into a forgotten life.
