The Abandoned House of Toys | Abandoned Retro Toy Time Capsule
I have a friend in this hobby who chooses to lay low behind the scenes and keep his identity unknown. His photos are only published to a few places and this friend is the same guy who together, we decided to return to its rightful owner nearly $7,000 that we found in an abandoned house a few years ago.
This same guy, who I will call Bruce has found more amazing abandoned houses than anyone else I know and I am always grateful when he is willing to share those finds with me – because I never leave disappointed.
He recently shared a location with me, this house was nothing much from the outside but inside was incredible, whole the walls and ceiling were crumbling all around, mostly all of the contents and furnishings were still fully intact. The walls were in very bad shape, there were open windows allowing the elements in, which advanced the decay in this old abandoned house.
However, upstairs there was a bedroom a teenage girls bedroom that was virtually untouched and undamaged, the bed still made, the floor was spotless, no peeling paint and not a spec of dust.
Across from that room was quite the opposite, a younger girls room, much messier but THIS room was a treasure trove of old 80’s era Toys. Many of them were sitting on the bed, or on the floor, but it was when I looked in the closet that my mind was blown.
On the top shelf of the closet were a perfectly preserved and put away Easy Bake Oven and a mint condition Lite Brite.
I will share more from this house in the coming days, but today I will share with you the most interesting finds of that house, surely any of the page followers who grew up in the 80’s will feel the nostalgia looking at these shots!!
Thanks again to my good friend “Bruce”!!
Abandoned Girls Bedroom – Fully Intact
Imagine this, you are in an abandoned house, the kitchen, the living room, the hallways, staircase all full of water damage peeling paint and the smell of decay.
The elements have set in bad and mother nature is in a big hurry to take this house back.
You walk up the rickety stairs and get paint peel-off on your sweater, you pass the open window that has allowed rain and snow and elements to eat away at the walls.
Then you come to a closed bedroom door and you walk into a perfectly preserved teenage girls bedroom, the bed still made, posters on the wall and her Pink Panther slippers still on the floor.
How would this experience make YOU feel?
