This Abandoned Elementary school in Hamilton, Ontario Canada was built in 1966 during a time of rapid growth and development for the city.

With the post war population boom and increase in immigration, the city had built upwards of 20 new schools between 1940 into the 1970s

In the 2000’s with rapidly declining student enrollments, 17 catholic schools were forced to close in the city of Hamilton, this school being one of them.

St Christopher’s Separate School was closed in 2008 and has been abandoned ever since.

Since 2008 the school has been the site of several fires, extreme damage and vandalism.

In January of 2014 several fire trucks were called to the school for an arson, however the boarded up doors and windows made it extremely difficult for the crews to gain access, resulting in further damage.
