Throughout its illustrious history, the hotel played host to numerous prominent figures, including celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Joe Dimaggio, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. Guest’s have included politicians such as US President John F Kennedy, and even gangsters such as Al Capone

Its glamorous ballrooms witnessed extravagant events and lavish parties, creating memories that echoed through the corridors for decades.

However, as time passed, so did the hotel’s glory days. The decline began in the mid-20th century, as changing travel trends and economic challenges took their toll. The once-thriving landmark gradually succumbed to neglect and decay, ultimately closing for good in 2007.
