Exploring a Stained Glass Abandoned Church and Abandoned School
Here we’re looking at a great little Stained Glass Abandoned Church and School in New York State that RiddimRyder Photography and I checked out on a road trip a few months back.
The Old First Ward of this city is known for its Irish roots but is also home to many Polish immigrants which led to the building of this church in 1922 to serve their needs.
In 2007, the Diocese announced its closure.
The main level holds the sanctuary, the basement has a theatre and likely a sunday school and upstairs there are classrooms. Here is a look at some of the classrooms.
This now abandoned church is currently being considered for renovation and adaption into office reuse or possibly a charter school.
