There’s a first time for everything and at this abandoned time capsule house I had my first encounter with a randomly roaming PIG!!! As I was inside the old abandoned house with antiques and as I looked out the window, mid explore there he was, a big fat pig! Aside from the pig making the exploration memorable, the house itself was amazing! I first explored this house back around 2013 and have wondered about it ever since. I recently made a return trip to find that it was in the exact same condition now as it was then!
This abandoned house was introduced to the local exploring scene by a friend, Ground State Photography, in 2013.
At the time, only a handful had visited the house, it also had one of the tightest entry points I have ever birthed myself through!
It has always remained one of my favourite homes ever explored, with many great colours, antiques, and a phenomenal in-tact bedroom with natural decay on the walls and a bright yellow comforter on the bed.
I have always wondered what came of this place, so recently while on a trip with friend s0s1nc3r3, we decided to stop by and have a look.
It did appear to have been somewhat kept up on the outside, with tire tracks evident up the long driveway, grass cut and former points of entry fixed.
They did overlook one small thing which allowed us to get inside. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got inside. It was almost exactly the same today as it was in 2013.
Other than a few things missing and other items moved around, it had not changed one bit inside,
I fully expected to see collapsing floors, holes in the roof and a far more advanced state of decay, but no – 11 years gone by have been good to this house!
If the state of the house surprised me, that was nothing compared to what was about to happen. While exploring and filming my video, I looked out the window to find a huge fat pig standing there and looking at me through the window.
Apparently, this pig belongs to one of the neighbouring houses and it likes to hang out and wander around on the abandoned house property.
The home and land are owned by a man who lives on the same road, not far from the home, it used to be his grandparents’ property and he has inherited it.
He and the neighbours next door do keep a close watch on it, we ended up running into him but it turned out to be a very pleasant encounter, we chatted for quite some time and he allowed us to stay and continue our exploration.
Has the owner any plans for it going forward, other than to keep it from falling apart?
