Urban Exploring a Perfectly Preserved Abandoned Time Capsule House
This incredible Perfectly Preserved Abandoned Time Capsule House has one of the most amazing dining rooms I have ever been in.
My friend Ground State Photography located this home and recently posted a great set of photos and after seeing this room I had to get there to see it with my own eyes.
It’s a very sad home that was lived in by an elderly couple who seemed to love art, the home is well tucked away down a long driveway and almost entirely consumed by overgrowth.
This abandoned time capsule house is well hidden in a very overgrown lot and well guarded by poison ivy!
I’ve explored so many of these rare abandoned time capsule houses and every one I am lucky enough to visit are unique in their own way.
In the dining area of this abandoned house, a beautiful old baby grand piano, more specifically an1880’s-90’s Square Grand, despite their massive size, they had a crude mechanism and a tiny soundboard, and were musically inferior to regular grand pianos, and fell out of favor.. obsolete. Steinway & Sons, set their last 300 of them or so on fire, just to get rid of the last stock they had of them, Upright pianos were making gains and advances around this time also, climbing in rapid popularity…
