Abandoned Cemetery Chapel

On my way to check out another spot when I passed an old cemetery with what looked to be an abandoned chapel on the grounds.

I pulled over and discovered a way inside, at first I was underwhelmed, until I lifted a board of wood off the floor and discovered what looked to be an opening for a casket to be raised and lowered from the basement for a funeral service.

In the basement there was a ramp that led out to the cemetery, I have never seen anything like this and I was intrigued by these unique features. Now, I am fully assuming that the opening was for raising and lowering a casket and that the casket would then be wheeled up the ramp to the cemetery for burial…in my mind it all makes sense!
