Abandoned Tudor-Style Schoolhouse Turned Million-Dollar Mansion in Ontario
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m always on the hunt for something a little different when it comes to exploring abandoned places. This one ticks all the boxes.
What you’re looking at here is a one-of-a-kind property that started life back in the 1800s as a rural schoolhouse. Kids from local farms would walk the dirt roads to this exact building to learn the basics—reading, writing, math—probably while freezing in the winter and sweating like crazy in the summer.
At some point in the last few decades, the schoolhouse was converted into a Tudor-style mansion. We’re talking over 2,800 square feet, with all the fancy upgrades—vaulted ceilings, a sunroom, finished basement, and even a double garage. At its peak, it was listed for more than a million bucks.
Now it just sits here.
Abandoned. Forgotten. Slowly falling apart.
There are holes in the floor, vines crawling through windows, and the eerie silence of a building that hasn’t seen life in years. The property is listed on the local heritage register, so it’s protected to a point—but there are no signs of restoration, no development, and no one stepping in to save it.
Just the occasional explorer with a camera and a curious mind.
Check out the full video below for a walkthrough of the inside and out. Scroll down for a full photo gallery, and as always, thanks for tagging along.
If you’ve seen this place before or know more about its past, shoot me a message or drop a comment. I’d love to hear the real story behind this incredible abandoned house.
