As soon as I walked into this abandoned Playboy Mansion time capsule house I was immediately reminded of the feeling the first time I walked into the Cat Lady HouseÂ
RiddimRyder Photography and I happened upon this location many months ago when searching google maps for prospective locations. I can’t remember which of us found it, but was Riddim who finally made the trek out to see what this place was all about.
This place is so well hidden and difficult to access and although we know it has been abandoned for more than 15 years, it still felt that at any moment someone would come home!
RiddimRyder named this location the “Sexy Retreat” because in a very conservative looking bedroom, there was a large mirror on the ceiling above the bed.
Based on documents we found in the house as well as the calendars on the wall we determined that the house had been left abandoned around 15 years or so. Â Also, judging by the difficult approach to this secluded house, no one had been there for a very very long time!
This bedrom in this old abandoned house is what gave it it’s name “Sexy Retreat”, see the mirror on the ceiling above the bed?
Abandoned for around 15 years this gem was hard to find and so wekk hidden it’s no surprise it’s in the condition it’s in.

The messy dresser in the mirrored ceiling bedroom of the Sexy Retreat abandoned Time Capsule House.
Among the many items found scattered about the top of this dresser is a gold pocket watch.

An antique Findlay’s Oval wood burning cook stove beside a modern-ish stove and microwave found in the kitchen of this abandoned time capsule house.
Based on last calendrs and documents in the house, we’ve determined that this house has been abandoned approximately 15 years.

It has been an absolutely brutal week and a half at work, lots of long hours, over night work filming at a job site and more. If I didn’t love what I do, I’d be mess right now.
But it’s Friday night, it’s all behind me and I can chill tonight, work on some pictures and enjoy my favourite beer – Nickelbrook Cause and Effect!!
Here is another shot from the Sexy Retreat, thie was on top of a very nice antique desk, a collection of mini Harley Davidsons and Indian Motorcycle die cast bikes. I had a hhuge collection of these same bikes some years ago!
I guess I didn’t get around to osting a full gallery from here yet, which means there will be lots more next week!

I was really hoping to get a full gallery of this house and my video up this week, bujt it would seem I am as busy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest at work.
For now, here is a still life photo taken in the dining room. This house is a true to the term time capsule house and an extremely rare one at that!
