Freaktography & Art Gallery of Burlington Photography Exhibition 2026 | Window Pain

Window Pain – Community Generator Photo Exhibition – Art Gallery of Burlington

From February 7 through May 17, 2026, my work will be featured at the Art Gallery of Burlington as part of AGB’s Community Generator program.

This exhibition, titled Window Pain, is built around a simple but deliberate idea. Photographs of abandoned spaces are presented inside reclaimed wooden window frames, turning the act of viewing into something physical. Instead of framed prints on a wall, each piece functions as a constructed object, something you look through rather than simply look at.

The work on display consists of five individual window frames. Some are shadowbox constructions, others are internally illuminated lightboxes. Every frame used in the exhibition is reclaimed architectural material, chosen intentionally to mirror the subject matter within the photographs.

All works shown on the gallery wall are one-of-a-kind originals. These exact framed pieces will not be reproduced.

In addition to the originals, I will also be offering limited, numbered editions of the photographs featured in the exhibition. These editions will be available separately and will not include the reclaimed window frames used in the gallery installation.

About the Exhibition Concept

Abandoned buildings are rarely encountered all at once. They are experienced in fragments, through doorways, windows, and partial views. Window Pain leans into that reality.

The reclaimed frames act as more than presentation. They become part of the narrative. A window once separated inside from outside. Here, it separates past from present, presence from absence. In the illuminated works, light returns to structures that have long since gone dark. In the shadowbox pieces, layered depth slows the viewer down and reinforces the act of looking inward.

Each piece is intentionally constructed to exist somewhere between photograph and object.

Complete List of Exhibition Works

Each of the 5 frames is a one-of-a-kind piece and they will not be replicated.

Click the purchase link below each description, once purchased if will no longer be available for sale.

I will arrange delivery once the exhibition ends on May 24th, 2026

RECORDS FROM THE ATTIC

Records From the Attic was photographed inside an abandoned funeral home where Harry Houdini was embalmed following his death in 1926. In an upper room of the building, hundreds of vinyl records were found collapsing through a doorway, forming a dense pile shaped entirely by gravity, time, and neglect.

Once objects of care and personal meaning, the records now exist without order or context. Sleeves are torn, warped, and layered into an accidental archive, no longer defined by sound but by silence. The image captures a moment where cultural memory and physical media intersect, revealing how objects outlive their purpose even after they have been forgotten.

This photograph is presented as a signed and numbered limited edition print, allowing the image to exist independently from the one-of-a-kind framed work featured in the Window Pain exhibition.
